Koo Koo Sint Coffee Company

We are a husband and wife team that share a passion for good coffee, good food, and good relationships.  Luke and Sylvia Miller grew up in NE Ohio before moving around out west prior to setting down roots in MT.  Luke started roasting coffee for his own personal supply while he was in college.  What started out as a hobby, grew into a passion. Upon researching coffee a little more they discovered the broad spectrum of "coffee" in regards to the growing practices, quality of the beans, flavor profiles and different roasting process'.  Luke's passion for good coffee and the science behind the roasting process paired with Sylvia's passion for high quality, organic food came together with organic specialty coffee.  As many of us are aware, nowadays we need to be very-very critical of where our food comes from, what chemicals were used, and how the farmers were treated.  The coffee growing process is no different than other forms of produce.  There can be neurotoxic chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides/fungicides used.  Coffee growing can oftentimes come at the expense of the health and wellbeing of the farmers. With Koo Koo Sint coffee, you can be confident that you're getting high quality, specialty rated, Organic coffee from farms that practice ethical farming practices.  That is why we work tirelessly to purchase only the highest quality organic beans and roast them in small batches to keep our stock rotating at all times which ensures the freshest coffee available for our customers. 

Koo Koo Sint is a Native American word that translates to "stargazer".  The Name was used to refer to explorer and cartographer David Thompson (I.E. Thompson Falls) because he used the stars to map roughly 1.9 Million square miles of Canada and the NW US.  We chose Koo Koo Sint because of the local history involving David Thompson,  the desire for exploration, and as a reminder to slow down, gaze up at the stars and enjoy life...and good coffee!
